What comedy most inspires you?

I love comedy that dares to take you to task with hard to talk about topics, unique, personal perspectives!

Which comedian most inspires you?

Tig Notaro.

Which comedian scares the shit out of you because you know you'll never be that good?

Oh gosh, Trevor Noah? Not so much scared, but I marvel - I get so excited when I see a greatly crafted joke or a set.

Why and how did you get into comedy?

I got into comedy by taking a class 10 years ago! I didn't know how else to start (safely).  I eventually started going to open mics too of course, but those were always breeding grounds for harassment for women and marginalized groups.

What drives you to do what you do?

MY FANS! I love making other people laugh and think.

Describe your perfect Tuesday.

Workout, answer emails, write jokes, eat food... drink. I'm pretty simple.

Best sofa you've ever slept on?

Haha there was an inflatable bed (I know it's not a couch) that I shared with another comedian friend during tour once and it ended up deflating overnight which was exciting.

Best piece of advice a comedian ever gave you?
No two people will ever have the same journey, so don't worry about anyone else's when carving your own.

Worst piece of advice a critic ever gave you?

I can't think of any right now...
